Why I’m running

Every politician talks about jobs, wages, and the cost of living because it sounds good in a speech. This has never been a campaign line for me. This has been my work and my lifelong mission before I ever considered running for office.

I am running for Lieutenant Governor because the fight I lead every day for working people should not stop at the refinery gate or the union hall. I am running to make Texas a place where every family has a fair shot and every job comes with dignity, safety, and a path to the middle class.

I have spent my entire adult life standing with workers through negotiations, new workplace construction, and safety battles that never make the news. I am running for Lieutenant Governor to take that commitment to working families statewide and build a Texas that finally puts working families first.

We need to raise wages and rebuild the middle class.

We must fully fund public schools and pay teachers like the professionals they are. Strong schools build strong communities.

Ranchers and farmers face record-high costs for feed, fuel, equipment, and land. Corporations drain rural water and developers push local families out of their own communities. Rural Texas should not be sacrificed for profit.

Corporate greed, soaring costs of living, stagnant wages, and elected officials like Dan Patrick–who put corporations above people–have pushed working families to the breaking point.

I am running because the American Dream is worth saving. I am running because Texas families deserve a fair shot. And I am running because I believe in the people who build this state every single day. If we stand together, we will lift the American Dream back to its feet and build a Texas worthy of the people who call it home.
